If you are a regular user of Windows operating system, you can see a small icon named recycle bin on your desktop. The deleted files will be immediately moved to the recycle bin in Windows system. If it required, you can restore those deleted files and folders from the recycle bin easily. Most of us have encountered the situations like they lost files or accidentally deleted some data which is of great import. The majority of the people may think that the files are lost forever, when they delete files by mistake.
The actual fact is that when we delete a file, it is not removed permanently, and they are just renamed and their location is hidden from view. The simple deletion of data will direct the files and folders to the recycle bin. If you use Shift+Delete key to erase a file, the files will be removed from the stored location bypassing the recycle bin. If the files are deleted from the computer network or if the file size is larger than the storage capacity of the recycle bin the data will not be available in the recycle bin to restore.
Even if you empty the recycle bin, the data will not be deleted permanently. Instead, the operating system modifies the directory entry of the file to indicate the space occupied by this file is no longer required and is available for use. Until the files are overwritten, the data will be present on the hard drive and can undeleted using a dependable recovery software. That means the data still available in the hard drive, but at some point of time if the operating system needs space for another file, it may be overwritten.
The best recovery results largely depends on whether the data has been overwritten or not. After you have deleted the files, stop using the system at once, since the further usage of the drive can lead to permanent data loss by overwriting the deleted files. Select a powerful undelete software to recover deleted files from the hard drive. Ensure that you familiarize with the product by downloading the trial version of the software from the respective websites and evaluated the capabilities of the software. Make sure that the software you have chosen can recover deleted data from both FAT, and NTFS file systems. Unfortunately, many companies don't have the right policies, technologies or cultural attitudes to develop a stable and searchable data storage solution. The time to build such system is now, not when facing an imminent court case.

One of the best weapons in a legal arsenal is a stockpile of comprehensive and objective documentation to support a position. Information can support a patent challenge, prove a company was not negligent prior to a safety incident, or deflect a wrongful termination suit.
